Training
Troops are trained in your barracks. You can have 1 army in your queue for training for every barracks you have. In other words, if you have 3 barracks, you can have 1 army training with 2 armies waiting to train (for a total of 3).
Since only one army can be trained at a time, it's important that you speed up your training as quickly as possible. There are a few ways to speed up training:
Changing the time it takes to train a troop from 30 seconds to 22 seconds may not seem like a big deal, but that saves you several hours when you're training thousands at a time.
If you assign your hero to the training position, you only need him there when you queue the army. Once you push the train button at your barracks, the time it takes to train them is set, and you can have your hero to do something else.
We expect every memember to have a minimum of 10 barracks.

- Level up a barracks
- Research "Siege Weapons" at the Academy
- Assign a hero to the "Training" position at the great hall (costs recurring gold for your hero's salary)
- Use an hourglass (1-time only)
- Pay real money for insta-training (1-time only)

Troop Types
There are 4 kinds of troops:
Supply troops don't fight - they only carry resources.
Mounted are weak against foot troops.
Foot troops are weak against ranged troops.
Ranged troops are weak against mounted troops.
Rock, paper, scissors.

Wall
You can train defensive troops at your wall. DON'T. They're a waste of time & resources - they die like flies under a swatter when attackers come. The Company is a no-wall alliance - if you're in the alliance, don't build wall might (it's a cardinal rule).
Hiding
There's an option in your keep under the overview tab called "Hide All Troops". Make sure this is on. If someone attacks your city and your troops aren't hiding, some of your troops will die if you're the stronger army, and all of your troops will die if you're the weaker. Since we don't let our resources get higher than our vault can protect and we don't hold on to our gold, there's nothing for the enemy to steal. That means that if you let your troops die, you're just flushing their ability to attack other cities, & the resources it took to train them down the toilet.
When you're stronger, you can unhide your troops if you're going for TKs (Total kills - there's a leader board for the amount of troops people have killed). Since you're reading this guide, you're probably not at that point yet.

Upkeep
Your troops like to eat. Each troop has a certain amount of upkeep - food that is eaten before it gets to your stockpile. It may not seem like a big deal at first, but when you have hundreds of thousands of might (or even millions), it takes a little more of your income. The way that we compensate for this is by farming. The DWC's will report farms to the alliance so there is a risk free way to get resources. Trying to build up farms within your city uses population that could be used to build might.
